Jams! Summerberry and Apricot

Just started making jams as its a new thing I thought I would try, so today I made a summerberry jam with mixed berries and also apricot jam.


Summerberry Jam recipe

1.7kg fresh r fozen mixed berries
1 sachet of jam setting mix
1kg sugar

Place partly thawed berries or fresh berries in a large saucepan.  Use a wooden spoon and stir in the jam setting mix and bring to the boil, stirring constantly.  Slowly stir in the sugar and stir until dissolved.  Bring to the boil again and boil for 10min.  Remove the jam from heat and let cool for about 10min then pour jam into a heatproof jug and pour into sterilized jam jars and seal with lids.  Will last 1 year if sealed properly and store in a dark cool place
